Path & Pivot began with a conundrum: Brilliant children in extraordinary places,
or ordinary backyards, without an outlet for their ingenuity. We built something to
harness their wonder.

Path & Pivot was born inside real classrooms and ordinary living rooms, that most curricula forget exist — from international schools on four continents, families learning from the back of a camper van, children doing their best work on kitchen floors, and summer holidays spent complaining of "boredom".
Path & Pivot isn't about exploring the world. It is about exploring ideas, no matter WHERE you happen to be.
We kept seeing the same thing: Kids who were endlessly curious, completely disconnected from what they were being asked to learn. Children being encouraged to complete worksheets on rainy days at home. Parents seeking enrichment for kids without resources to support real, hands-on learning. A family traveling across Southeast Asia, using a curriculum designed for a classroom in Ohio.
So we built the thing that should have existed already. A curriculum that starts with the child's question, curiosity, and the very place they're standing in.

Head of Curriculum & Pedagogy
Michael has spent his career in classrooms that most people never get to see — international schools across four continents, project-based learning environments, and institutions built around the radical idea that how a child learns matters as much as what they learn.
The 7-step educational matrix at the heart of Path & Pivot is entirely his design. It is a proprietary pedagogical system refined across years of real classrooms, real children, and real curiosity. He is also a dad.
"The moment a child stops being a student and starts being a professional — even for an afternoon — everything changes."

Co-Founder, Operations & Development
Lauren is a project manager and human relations specialist, with an international development and education background — and a mom who has lived, firsthand, the gap between what her children needed and what was actually available to them.
She brings the systems thinking that makes a brilliant idea actually work: the operational logic, the user experience, the architecture that makes something genuinely complex feel effortless.
"I wanted the thing I would actually use — on a rainy day, on a long flight, in the middle of a trip we hadn't planned well enough."
We are not anti-technology. We're anti-passive screen time. Path & Pivot uses AI to do the invisible work — so that what lands in your child's hands is entirely offline. The screen is the engine room. The kitchen table is the classroom.
Every lesson ends with something made, built, investigated, or drawn. Never something clicked.
The debrief guide doesn't tell parents what to say. It tells them what to ask. Because the child's answer is always more valuable than ours.
A lesson about bridges means something different in Venice than it does in Vancouver. The environment is never incidental. It's essential.

Path and Pivot are at the heart of every good lesson. One gives the trail. The other gives permission to leave it.

The Stag of Ways. Antlers branching like a map. Grounded, unhurried — Path knows the route.

Patron 02 · Lepus Curiosus
The Hare of Tangents. Mid leap. Ears swept back. Two questions ahead, three beats off the trail.

Two friends. Both Unique and Equally Impactful.
At home on a rainy Tuesday. Crossing Asia by train. Standing in front of something ancient and extraordinary. It doesn't matter where.
