Your child's work belongs to your family. Full stop.

We built Path & Pivot as parents. We know what it means to trust a platform with your child's information. Here's how we handle all of it — in plain language.

Last updated July 16, 2026

We never sell your data.

No child profile information, no lesson history, no uploaded photos, no parent email address is ever sold to a third party. Not now, not if we grow, not under any future ownership.

Photos stay private.

When your child uploads a photo of their completed project, it is stored securely and visible only to your parent account. It is never used in marketing, never shared publicly, and never used to train any AI model.

Children have no public profile.

Child accounts exist as sub-profiles under the parent account. They have no public-facing username and no ability to contact or be contacted by anyone outside the family account.

You can delete everything.

At any time, you can request complete deletion of your family's data — all profiles, all lessons, all portfolio content. We will confirm deletion within 72 hours.

We use encryption throughout.

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store full card details.

Rather just ask?

The full policy is below, and it is worth reading. But if you only want to know one thing — how long we keep the photos, how to delete everything, how to stop the emails — ask here and get a plain-English answer with a link to the exact section it came from.

The assistant answers only from this published policy. It has no access to any account, so it can’t confirm anything about your specific data — for that, a person answers at privacy@pathandpivot.com.

Ask about your family’s data

Plain-English answers from our published Privacy Policy — what we store, how long we keep it, how to delete it, and how to opt out.

No need to share names, emails, or account details — this assistant can’t look up accounts, and anything personal you type is stripped out before it is processed. For account-specific requests, email privacy@pathandpivot.com.

Privacy Policy

The complete policy for how Path & Pivot handles family data.

Last updated July 16, 2026Version 1.0

Who we are

Path & Pivot (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides parent-led learning missions for families. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to parents and guardians.

Questions about this policy: email privacy@pathandpivot.com. A real person will respond within one business day.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating a parent account, adding child explorer profiles (such as first name, grade, interests, and age description), generating missions, saving portfolio work, and contacting support.

We process payment information through Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

If you join a launch or educator waitlist, we keep your email address, which list you joined, the teaching setting you choose (educators only), whether you also asked for our newsletter, and when you confirmed. We use it only to tell you about the launch or the classroom version, and newsletter emails only if you opted in. Ask us at privacy@pathandpivot.com to be removed at any time.

We may collect technical information needed to operate the service securely (for example, authentication session data and basic device or browser signals required for login and fraud prevention).

How we use information

We use family information to deliver missions, store portfolio artifacts on the parent account, score and track progress, provide parent dashboards, improve reliability and safety, and respond to support requests.

We do not sell child profile information, lesson history, uploaded photos, voice notes, or parent email addresses to third parties—now or under any future ownership.

Children and parent-led accounts

Path & Pivot is designed for parent-led use. Child explorer profiles exist as sub-profiles under a parent account. Minors cannot create or own independent login credentials on Path & Pivot.

Children have no public-facing profile, username, or ability to contact—or be contacted by—anyone outside the family account through our product.

For paid offerings, a parent’s completed payment transaction may serve as verifiable parental consent where applicable. For free access paths that do not collect a payment method, we may require email verification and affirmative acceptance of our Terms before lesson access is granted.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to authenticate parents, keep sessions secure, and operate core product features.

Inside the member portal and portfolio areas, we intend to operate with essential cookies only—session and authentication cookies required for the product to function. Non-essential marketing cookies are not used on children’s learning pages.

Advertising or analytics pixels, if used at all on public marketing pages, are not placed inside the authenticated parent portal or portfolio experience.

Marketing and advertising audiences

We do not sync or upload parent email lists, child names, or platform usage data to advertising networks (including Meta, Google, or TikTok) for custom audiences, lookalike audiences, or similar ad-targeting exports.

Artificial intelligence and service providers

Missions may be generated or assisted using artificial intelligence systems operated through carefully selected providers. We configure routing toward approved model hosts that support contractual zero-data-retention and prohibit use of your inputs to train models where those controls are available.

Before prompts are sent to downstream AI services, we apply automated scrubbing intended to remove common personal identifiers such as names, emails, addresses, and phone numbers from the outbound payload where detected.

Family portfolio content—including child writing, photos, and voice notes—is not used to train Path & Pivot’s or our vendors’ AI models. We apply metadata and access practices intended to keep portfolio media out of marketing and training pipelines.

Generation systems include safeguards intended to block or rewrite copyrighted characters and branded intellectual property into generic concepts, and to refuse unsafe or injected prompt content in mission inputs.

Photos, voice notes, and portfolio media

When a parent consents to store presentation media, photos and voice reflections are stored securely and are visible only within the parent account context. They are not used in marketing and are not shared publicly.

Parents should only upload photos or audio of their own child, or of individuals who have given explicit permission. Do not include sensitive personal information, health details, or government IDs in assignment submissions.

Portfolio media is stored with encryption in transit and at rest, using restricted cloud storage access controls intended to prevent public web indexing.

Access to family records by Path & Pivot staff is limited to essential personnel bound by confidentiality obligations, under role-based access controls.

Retention and deletion

Portfolio media (photos and voice notes) are permanently deleted 30 days after account cancellation.

Text-based lesson history and scores are scrubbed after 12 months of continuous account inactivity.

Parent account profile data is generally deleted 12 months after account termination, except that transaction records may be retained for 6–7 years as required for tax and financial recordkeeping.

You may request complete deletion of your family’s data—profiles, lessons, and portfolio content—by emailing privacy@pathandpivot.com. We will confirm deletion within 72 hours of a verified request.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest for data we store. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to protect family information with industry-appropriate safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We publish the official “Last Updated” date for this Privacy Policy (currently July 16, 2026) in the site footer and parent portal. When we make material changes, we update that date and record the change in our version log so parents can see when legal terms or data practices change.
